Whitetail Club | McCall, Idaho

Platinum Clubs of America Proposal 2025-26

Our Story

The power of a single memory primarily influenced the 2008 purchase of Whitetail Club. Joe Scott, the owner of Whitetail Club, has a long-standing involvement in the area dating back to 1957 when he spent summers at Shore Lodge while visiting his grandparents' cabin in McCall. His childhood memories inspired his passion for creating a special place for families to experience this magical corner of the Gem State. Whitetail Club was built from a deep love of family, friends, and adventure. The images below, taken in McCall, Idaho, show a glimpse into the memories that inspired the inception of Whitetail Club. Our members experience a modern version of this same mountain-lake lifestyle today.

Engagement & Commitment of Membership

Whitetail Club members are the most prominent advocates for our community and instill the same traditions they grew up with from generation to generation.

Our community boasts a rich history rooted in the cherished memories of Idaho natives who consider the small town of McCall a fundamental part of their childhood, from summers spent lounging by Payette Lake to winters spent chasing downhill thrill adventures.

This profound connection to McCall encouraged many to make Whitetail Club their permanent home, allowing generations to follow the opportunity to bask in McCall's seasonal beauty. Advocating for the extraordinary lifestyle that a mountain lake community offers, Whitetail Club members are eager to be a part of our community and share their stories with friends and colleagues, sparking interest nationwide. From California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, and more, our community has experienced an impressive growth over the past year. We anticipate this upward trend as we continue to welcome new members throughout the year.

As new members join our club, we integrate them by:

  • Having them watch our Member Orientation video so they're well versed in what it means to be a member and all the information, amenities, and services they can access.
  • Creating an account for them to access the Member Portal – our main communication hub center.
  • Ensuring they'll receive our weekly email and/or all other email communications from the club.
  • Introducing them to the club by featuring them in our monthly newsletters.
  • Providing them with a calendar of events so they can view all upcoming events, wellness programs, etc., are happening at the club.

Governance & Prudent Fiscal Management

Whitetail Club values proper governance and fiscal management, establishing two critical oversight pillars: the Club and the Property Owners' Association (POA).

The club documents and POA documents are invaluable, serving as a guide for the Whitetail Club experience.

Our club governing documents clarify the exceptional opportunities and benefits available to members and provide guidance on the permissible use of club facilities as outlined in the membership plan. Our community association's governing documents provide the legal structure and operation of the community, setting forth rules and restrictions to protect both owners and the community while enhancing property values.

Combined, these Governing Documents guide both the Club and Community, including the membership plan, rules and regulations, fee appendix, and membership applications, outlining the rights and privileges of club membership.

Key documents include:

  • Articles of Incorporation
  • General Declaration
  • Property Owners Association Bylaws
  • Membership Plan
  • Rules & Regulations
  • Fee Appendix

We update communication daily to meet the needs of our members. This is done through various channels, such as emails, social media, and the members-only section of our documentation.

As of June 2024, members receive a detailed online monthly statement available via our Member Portal and app. This convenient feature helps members stay informed about their expenses and easily complete their transactions.

Additionally, over the past year, we renovated The Fish & Swim Club to enhance the facility's appearance and elevate the ambiance for our members. Our development and maintenance team also added four outdoor pickleball courts and one outdoor tennis court to our range of amenities.

Adapting to Changing Times

Whitetail Club has adapted to changing times by anticipating our members' ever-changing demands, needs, and interests.

Member Portal and app Integrations

In addition to the human connection, Whitetail Club has adapted to the changing times by providing members with access to club-related things right at their fingertips. From the Member Portal and app, members can now:

  • Book tee times during golf season
  • Book our two-bay golf simulators to practice their swing year-round
  • Register/RSVP for our upcoming events
  • View and pay their monthly member statements

New Courts

With the ever-growing popularity of pickleball and tennis, we've built five outdoor pickleball courts and one tennis court so members can go paddle-to-paddle or racket-to-racket and enjoy the scenic mountain vistas our private community has to offer. We're currently in the process of implementing these courts into our current Court Reservations system to ensure members can book these newly added courts using the Member Portal and app.

Calendar of Events

McCall is a place that needs to be seen to be believed. The natural beauty surrounding our community is one of the allures that make our members choose a mountain-lake home within our gates. With that in mind, we added new excursions to our calendar of events this year that allow members to explore the hidden gems of Idaho, including:

Co-Ed Nordic Skiing Clinic

Lake Front Living

With preferred access to one of McCall's most prized possessions, Payette Lake, Whitetail Club puts members at the edge of waterfront adventures. As our community grew, renovations were underway to expand the private Whitetail Club dock to allow more members to moor their boats. We've also expanded the Whitetail Club fleet, purchasing two new pontoons (one with a Skydeck) and a Malibu speedboat for any members who wish to rent or charter a boat to get on the water.

Legacy Ranch

The Western United States has always promised a new way of life. It’s where people went to pursue opportunities and, ultimately, a better way of life. That spirit lives on at our newly developed phase three, Legacy Ranch at Whitetail Club. Legacy Ranch builds on the commitment to a remarkable, natural lifestyle in the Wilds of Western Idaho.

Promising vast homesites, an undisturbed location, and a unique sense of solitude, Legacy Ranch is a 365-acre enclave sitting on the western edge of our private community. Offering wide open skies and towering granite mountains, Legacy Ranch is comprised of only thirty-six homesites, fourteen of which are positioned on Red Ridge with western-facing views, and the remaining twenty-two are scattered over the expansive valley floor ranging from 5 to 21 acres.
