As we eagerly welcome a new season, we must reflect on the remarkable summertime memories we created during the past three months. It was a quintessential Whitetail Club summer, marked by vibrant golf tournaments, an energizing country concert, and exhilarating backcountry escapades. Freedom Fiesta
A fiery 4th of July celebration filled with patriotic vibes and culinary delights awaited Whitetail Club members and their guests at the annual 4th of July BBQ hosted at the Whitetail Club Park.
We had endless outdoor activities for all attendees. Volleyball had ‘em diving for the save, while the water balloon toss provided some with a refreshing splash from the summer sun.
And the crowd's favorite potato sack race brought out everyone’s competitive spirit.
Catch of the Day
Our junior Whitetail Club members gathered at Betsey's Pond under the July sun to wrangle trout at the 9th annual Family Fishing Derby.
With a timer on the clock, every angler was set on reeling fish in to be awarded "First Fish Caught," "Longest Fish," "Most Fish Caught," or "Smallest Fish."
Once time was up and everyone reeled in their lines, a short award ceremony was hosted for our newly appointed champions. Everyone enjoyed an ice cream after a long day of catching fish.
The Wild Wild West
The ladies of Whitetail Club saddled up and embarked to the Wild Wild West for the 2023 Ladies Member Guest.
They buckled up for three days and nights of mesmerizing mountains, fast greens, and buckin' broncos.
With a sundowner cocktail party, an authentic western hoedown, and an incredible winner's shindig, this year's tournament was a rootin'-tootin' good time. Dare we say it – it was the showdown of the year.
Members Only
The majestic Salmon River Mountains served as the perfect backdrop for the exclusive Whitetail Club Member/Member Tournament, where our members went head-to-head and battled it out on greens.
Competitive camaraderie took center stage for two days on our award-winning golf course.
Once the tournament was over, the action shifted to The Golf Grille, where authentic Pacific Northwest cuisine was served for lunch before a buzzing award ceremony unfolded for our new champions.
The Big Show
The much-anticipated Men's Invitational golf tournament spanned four days and nights of exclusive events for participating members and their guests!
It all started with the opening night reception, where the dress code was 'white out chic' to match our white-out theme.
On Thursday, the ladies embarked on a nautical luncheon adventure by the tranquil waters of Payette Lake.
Later that evening, the gentlemen tried their luck at our Cards and Cigars night, selecting from an array of premium cigars.
We crowned our victors Friday evening at an award dinner hosted at The Fish & Swim Club. But the real crescendo of excitement was the exhilarating country performance by LOCASH at the Summer Concert that had everyone on their feet, dancing the night away!
Trailblazers
We geared up for an exciting expedition through the wilderness of Western Idaho for our annual ATV Trip!
Surrounded by 2.4 million acres of untamed land known as the Frank-Church River of No Return Wilderness, Whitetail Club members revved their engines through towering Ponderosa Pines, rugged terrain, and crystal-clear creeks to explore the authentic beauty Idaho has to offer. The McCall backcountry is unlike any other, providing an incredible excursion to Big Creek Lodge.
Back to School
Summer was in full swing with our golf tournaments, but as all students know, school must start again sometime.
So, what better subject to start studying than grilling? We headed out to the Cart Barn Patio for our Grilling 105 event, where our members took their outdoor cooking game to sizzling new heights alongside Executive Chef Marcus as he guided them through a smoky flavor journey.
From light appetizers such as Bacon Wrapped Quail Lollipops to Beef Brontosaurus Short Ribs featuring a Huckleberry BBQ sauce, our members brought the heat.
