A Look Back at Winter 2024

The annual 2024 McCall Winter Carnival was held during the last weekend of February, packed full of beloved traditions.

Spectacular ice sculptures were on display, and the Mardi Gras Parade painted the town with vibrant colored floats, with this year's 'Color Outside the Lines' theme. Saturday evening concluded with a dazzling fireworks display over Payette Lake. Just another reason McCall is a magical place in the winter.

Perched atop our community, offering scenic views of the valley and night sky, our ridge-top Yurt is the ideal setting for an intimate dinner.

New to our events calendar this year, our three-part dinner series was hosted exclusively in the winter months and offered the members a unique culinary meets adventure experience. The evenings began with a guided snowshoe trek along a tiki torch-lit pathway to The Yurt.

Upon arrival, they were welcomed with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, followed by a three-course meal paired with wines selected by our sommelier. We fully expect this dinner series to make an encore next winter.

Kids of all ages met on the property's sledding hill for the annual Sledding Party.

Members and their guests bundled up in their coziest winter layers for an afternoon of thrills, with a little help from the Argo giving a tow to the top.

Spirits were kept high by the warmth of the fire pit and our famous hot chocolate bar stocked with marshmallows, chocolate treats, and peppermint sticks. This is what winter looks like for kids of all ages at Whitetail Club.

Executive Chef Marcus and a small group of 'sous chefs' prepared five traditional Thai-inspired courses at our Members Only Cooking Class.

Dishes prepared together included Shrimp Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice. The cooking lesson, hosted in our Lake House, concluded with a sitting around the table to enjoy the freshly cooked meal paired with different wines selected by our sommelier. Many more culinary events await.
