A Look Back at Spring 2024

Equipped with hiking shoes and an adventurist spirit, our members embarked on an excursion to hike the River Rapid Trail at our Riggins Hike & Picnic event.

Experienced guides led members through this trail, which winds along a river canyon full of geological wonders and scenic landscapes. According to the U.S. Forest Service, this is considered to be in the Wild and Scenic Rapid River Corridor, one of the first rivers in Idaho to gain this designation, on the northern edge of the Payette National Forest. Upon reaching our destination, we enjoyed a picnic lunch before returning to the trail to head back home.

Members and their guests joined us at our lakefront clubhouse for our annual Mother's Day Brunch.

Our culinary team prepared a menu that included Sweet Crêpes, Pesto Shrimp Pasta, Jumbo Lump Crab Benedict, and a Tomato Basil Caramelized Onion Tart for the special occasion. As an added token of love, all moms in attendance were provided with house-made chocolate treats.

Melted snow and thawed grounds could only mean one thing at Whitetail Club—the reopening of our award-winning golf course!

Members were excited to tee off for the first time this season at our annual Season Opening Tournament, where they competed in a two-best-balls-out-of-four-net format. Following an exhilarating day out on the greens, all who participated in the tournament gathered at The Golf Grille for our Member Mixer. The winners of the opening tournament were celebrated as signature cocktails, light appetizers, and plans for the new golf season were discussed. The 2024 golf season was just getting started.

Highly regarded as one of the premier wine producers of Napa Valley for the last 48 years, Duckhorn Vineyards came to Whitetail Club for our June Members Only Wine Dinner.

Wines were selected to pair with a five-course Pacific-Northwest-inspired menu. Chardonnay and seared diver scallops. Pinot Noir and poached king salmon. Cabernet Sauvignon and pancetta-wrapped elk tenderloin. It was a memorable culinary adventure to say the least.

With the soaring popularity of pickleball, it was only fitting to add a 2-Day Pickleball Clinic to our event calendar this year to help elevate the skills of our pickleball fanatics at Whitetail Club.

Under the guidance of pickleball pros Susannah Barr and Dominic Catalano, Whitetail Club members had the opportunity to refine their skills. With two hours of tips and tricks on handling and rethinking shots, drills to improve footwork and agility to navigate the course effectively, and perfecting serves, our members put these newly acquired skills to the test as they went paddle-to-paddle with our two pros. And as the famous saying goes, the students have surpassed their teacher.
